MINDSCAPES

Mindscapes is a visual exploration of the idea of belonging. It suggests a place where the landscape is abstract enough that anyone can create their own reality and peacefully belong there.

Growing up with influences from two almost opposite cultures, Brazilian and Swedish, and now living in London, made me question my sense of belonging.

Through abstract and colourful landscapes, I explore the sense of a warm unknown. Nothing is really clear and all the images are full of contrasts, highlights and shadows. It’s inviting and daunting at the same time, similar to the feeling of moving to an unknown place.
